The notch in the engine flywheel for the of the static timing corresponds to the top dead of cylinders 1 and 4 when the timing pin in the clutch housing is engaged in this notch. A gauge A is fixed to the water pump (see diagram opposite). One graduation on the gauge corresponds to one contact breaker degree. Pre-setting of static timing : 1. Check the gap between the contact breaker points (cam angle).
